Welcome to the Viking Life

So blog post #1.  I have been procrastinating on this for about 6 months at this point, torn between finally taking that first step to give this a try and the comfort of everyday inertia.  There is always one more work project, a good book to finish, and of course always something fun streaming somewhere to provide the perfect daily distraction.

Well, that is finally behind me, at least until I have to come up with blog post #2.

This blog, website, whatever I want to call it for now is going to be a little odd.   I don’t have one specific area that I want to focus on.  It’s not just a travel or food blog, I will talk about constant learning and the challenges and rewards of managing a team, and I am sure I will even slip in notes and references to all of the various Toronto sports teams that crush my soul on a regular basis.  I will share what strikes me as important and things that I come across that are interesting, with a focus on how it ties into leading a genuine and fun life.  I am not even 100% sure what leading a fun, viking life is exactly.  It definitely sounds catchy, and I know that there are a lot of things I am opening to sharing with an audience.  Assuming that there will be an audience.  Who knows?

I will definitely be leaning into the publish first and improve later theory of content.  I am sure these first few posts will make me cringe later, but better to start humbly and work my way up to almost competent at some point.  I appreciate you bearing with me, and any feedback is appreciated.

These are strange times we are in now, but hopefully I can help inject a little levity into it and maybe help us navigate towards some new and fun ways of looking at life.  Any products, services or websites I recommend are based solely on my experiences – no one is paying for me to tap away at this keyboard.  Not necessarily because I”m above that, more that no one is really willing to at this point in time.

Okay, first ramble, I mean post taken care of.  It will get better, I promise.

Thanks for taking the time to find the blog.
